22 october 2023

As the world's only truly universal international organization, the UN has become the main forum for addressing issues that transcend national borders and cannot be resolved by any country alone.

Every year on October 24, the entire planet celebrates United Nations Day.  It has become a tradition of many higher education institutions around the world to hold student Games called «Model UN».  The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was no exception.

This year we decided to celebrate this significant date in a different way.  At the initiative of the Department of International Relations and Political Science, we invited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to hold a guest lecture for international affairs students and political scientists dedicated to UN Day and Diplomatic Worker's Day of the Kyrgyz Republic, which has also been celebrated on October 24 since 1998. This holiday was specially dedicated to UN Day.
