Institute of Russian Language named after. A.O. Orusbaev Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. First President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin from April 30 to May 22, 2024 in partnership with the Institute of Russian Language of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. Patrice Lumumba (RUDN, Moscow) is holding a literary competition «...And Pushkin – is with us, Pushkin – is in us, and we are already involved in the miracle», dedicated to Russian Language Day and the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin.
Objectives of the competition
Preserving the richness of the Russian literary language in the lives of modern youth and increasing humanistic values, stimulating the creative self-expression of students, maintaining interest in the Russian language and Pushkin’s literary heritage.
Students of grades 5–11 of secondary schools of the Kyrgyz Republic with Russian, Kyrgyz and Uzbek languages of instruction are invited to participate in the event.
First category – students of grades 9–11
Genre: Love lyrics
Subject: «Declaration of Love»
Conditions of participation:
- The student must recite an excerpt from A.S.’s love lyrics by heart in the video. Pushkin.
- Videos of each participant - no more than 3 minutes.
- Fragments from any of Pushkin’s works that touch on the theme of love can be selected as competition works.
- The assessment will be carried out according to the following criteria: confident reading for memory, expressiveness, intonation, understanding of the text, artistry of the performance.
Second category – students of grades 5–8
Genre: Voice-over of a fairy tale on video by a participant (you can take fragments of cartoons, fairy tales from the Internet as a basis, or create a video presentation yourself).
Topic: «My favorite fairy tale by A.S. Pushkin»
Conditions of participation:
- The student must voice the video (fragment of A.S.’s fairy tale. Pushkin).
- Videos of each participant - no more than 3 minutes.
- Any fairy tales by A.S. can be selected as competition works. Pushkin – «The Tale of Tsar Saltan», «The Tale of the Golden Cockerel» and others.
- The assessment will be carried out according to the following criteria: expressiveness of voice acting, clarity and clarity of pronunciation, transmission of emotions, compliance of the text with the target audience (grades 5-8).
The general provisions of the competition are as follows
- Participation in the competition – personal.
- Videos can be created by any available video devices (mobile phone camera, smartphone, digital camera, tablet computer, professional or amateur video camera).
- The video must be made in MP4 format in pixels resolution 1920x1080 or 1280x720.
- Timing of the video – no more than 3 minutes.
- File names should be written in the following format: last name_literary competition (for example: Zakirov_literary competition).
- At the beginning of the video, the following information is indicated in text format: the last name and first name of the participant, class, educational institution, locality, region of the republic and the work from which the fragment was selected.
- The work is accompanied by a completed one questionnaire participant.

Videos accepted from April 30 to May 22, 2024.
Performances will be judged on the following criteria:
- selecting a work according to the category of students;
- for first category participants (grades 9-11) – reciting by heart;
- for participants of the second category (grades 5-8) – expressive voice acting of the excerpt;
- performance artistry;
- the use of means of expressive reading – logical accents, intonation, tempo, timbre, emotional and expressive coloring of the performance – to realize the artistic intention of the author;
- clarity and correctness of diction.
Based on the results of the competition, winners of I, II, III degrees will be determined in each category.

1. Participation in the competition implies consent to the publication of works on the website of the organizers and on social networks of the IRA KRSU.
2. The organizers reserve the right not to consider works that do not meet the theme or requirements of the competition.
