6 june 2024

Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University proudly announces the annual international scientific and practical conference «IX Kumskov Readings», which will be held from June 26 to 28, 2024. This event, dedicated to the memory of outstanding scientists and founders of scientific schools in the Kyrgyz Republic – Vladimir Ivanovich Kumskov and Naila Khasanovna Kumskova, became a significant tradition of the Faculty of Economics of KRSU.

The conference provides a unique opportunity for researchers to present the results of their scientific research on a wide range of economic issues. The topics presented at the «Kumskov Readings» cover both traditional areas of modern economic science and original, non-standard approaches that contribute to the development of scientific research, educational activities and the dissemination of knowledge for the real economic progress of national economies. The event also serves as a platform for joint international research projects.

About our Teachers:

Professors Vladimir Ivanovich Kumskov and Nailya Khasanovna Kumskova are the founders of the scientific and pedagogical school «Theoretical and methodological foundations of market transformation of the economy», operating at the Department of Economic Theory of KRSU. Nailya Khasanovna headed the department from 1995 to 2010. Thanks to their efforts, the school has trained 124 candidates and 15 doctors of economic sciences, who actively apply theoretical and practical knowledge to the development of the economies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.

The Kumskovs' strategic vision was expressed in the creation of two research centers at the Department of Economic Theory – the Population Center at the UN Population Fund and the Analytical Center for Economic and Demographic Research (ACEDI). These units have taken theoretical and practical research to a new qualitative level.

The legendary Kumskov couple was distinguished not only by professional skills in the field of pedagogy and economics, but also by the highest moral qualities, including kindness, decency, philanthropy and mercy. Their students highly value and remember their mentors, who have always strived to help and support.
