International festival «Russian language and family» dedicated to the Year of the Family
Institute of Russian Language of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after. Patrice Lumumba (RUDN, Moscow) and the Institute of Russian Language named after. A.O. Orusbaev Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. First President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin invites students of the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the International Festival «Russian Language and Family» dedicated to the Year of the Family.
As part of the International Festival, a photo competition «Family Album» and a student essay competition «Family Values in My Country» will be held from October 4 to 8, 2024.
The purpose of the event is to preserve the traditional values of the peoples of Russia, to introduce young people to the history and customs of the multinational Russian people.
Participants must choose from two proposed competitions:
- photo contest;
- essay competition «Family values in my country».
Conditions for participation in the photo competition:
- photos accepted from 20 august to 25 september 2024;
- photos and application you must send by email center_russ@mail.ru (be sure to indicate in the copy of the letter email lebedeva_do@pfur.ru) with the subject of the letter: «Photo competition – [Name, surname of the participant]».
Technical requirements: format – JPEG or PNG, color model –RGB, image size – from 800×600 to 2560×1920 pixels. If you become the winner of the competition, you will need to provide a photo in maximum resolution.
The photographs may include images of people, monuments, nature, etc., except for objects prohibited by current legislation.
Photo contest conditions:
up to three photos (including a series with one theme) can be sent;
Logos, watermarks, and other additions to images are not allowed;
- graphical editors are allowed;
- work can be done with either a professional or mobile camera, subject to technical requirements.
The works of the winners of the photo competition will be presented at the exhibition, which will be held at the Institute of Russian Language of the RUDN University from October 4 to October 30, 2024.
The conditions for participation in the essay competition «Family values in my country» are
- works accepted from 20 August to 30 September 2024;
The essay should be in russian, 150–200 words long;
The file format is:.doc or.docx, font – Times New Roman, size – 12, spacing – 1.5, alignment – widthwise;
- the essay should contain an introduction, a main body and a conclusion;
The file name should match the title of the essay.
Essay topics:
1. Family traditions: tell us about your family's traditions.
2. Commemorative Events: Describe a memorable family event.
3. Amazing Stories: Share an amazing story from your family's life.
4. Parental wisdom: Pass on wisdom passed down through generations.
5. History of one photo: Choose a family photo and tell a related story.
Works should be sent by email to center_russ@mail.ru (be sure to include email lebedeva_do@pfur.ru) in the copy of the letter with the subject of the letter: «Family Essay Competition – [Name, surname of the participant]».
The winners of the competitions will be invited to the Russian Language Institute of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. Patrice Lumumba (RUDN, Moscow) for the closing ceremony of the festival.
