International essay competition "Without a statute of limitations."

Since 2020, a project «Without a statute of limitations» has been implemented aimed at preserving the memory of the victims of Nazi crimes in the Great Patriotic War. It allows schoolchildren and students to learn about the tragedies of civilians in the USSR, forced labor and the struggle for memory through archival materials and participation in the search movement.

The Russian Ministry of Education has established an All-Russian essay competition dedicated to the project. In 2023, 705,128 schoolchildren from 89 regions of Russia and other countries took part in the competition. The competition gives young people the opportunity to survive the events of the war and realize its cost.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, schoolchildren from Russia, the Republic of Belarus and the CIS countries can participate. Each region sends four essays to the federal stage. Details of participation can be found at the link: https://ec.memory45.su.
