International Symposium «Sacred Delphi in the context of world culture: Greek-Slavic-Turkic interactions»

9 December 2022 Greek Language and Culture Centre «ELLAS», UNESCO Chair for the Study of World Culture and Religions KRSU, Russian Language Chair, Faculty of Humanities KRSU they do International Symposium «Sacred Delphi in the context of world culture: Greek-Slavic-Turkic interactions», dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Professor M. Lazaridi.

 

The conference program includes work in the following areas

  • The role of Greek civilization in the development of world culture
  • The connection between the spiritual culture of the East (Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, Khorezmi, Biruni, Nizami, Rustaveli, Mahmoud Kashgari, Yusuf Balasaguni, etc.) and Hellenism.
  • Ancient Hellas as the basis of Byzantine culture
  • Byzantium – cultural crossroads (East and West). Architecture and art of Byzantium (urban planning, architecture, icon painting, fresco, mosaic, cloisonne enamel). Religious question in the Byzantine Empire.
  • The influence of Byzantium on the formation of statehood of the Orthodox peoples
  •  Literature and writing as high art. Works of the Fathers of the Church (John Chrysostom, Basil the Great, Gregory of Nyssa, Gregory the Nausian, Grigol Narekatsi, etc.)
