Interuniversity student conference «Functioning of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan: cultural and linguistic contacts and teaching practice»

The purpose of the conference <TAG1> formation of scientific potential among young people and development of research activity of students in combination with their professional training.

The relevance of the conference topic is associated with the great interest of linguists in studying the nature of the interaction of languages in a multicultural society, in aspects of the functional coexistence of the Russian language with the languages of indigenous peoples in the CIS countries and the entire Eurasian space.

Objectives of the conference <TAG1> discussion of issues of theory and practice of the Russian language in the context of expanding cultural and linguistic contacts in various areas of communication via the global Internet, print media and live communication in the context of bilingualism in Kyrgyzstan, as well as discussion of modern methods of teaching the Russian language.

Conference date: 23 November

Venue: academic building №8, Faculty of Humanities of KRSU (aud. 309).

The conference procedure is as follows

9.30-10.00 – Opening of the conference

10.00-12.30 – Section work

12.30-13.00 – Coffee break

13.00-14.30 – Continuation of the sections

14.30 – Closing of the conference.

• Section №1 <TAG1>Current approaches to describing the structure, semantics and functions of the Russian language and issues of Russian philology«;
• Section №2 «Research of the Russian language in comparative, linguoculturological and sociolinguistic aspects and methods of teaching the Russian language in conditions of bilingualism and digitalization».

Young scientists, graduate students, undergraduates and students with their supervisors are invited to participate in the conference.

Those wishing to take part in the conference are asked to send an application by November 15, 2022 indicating the participant’s full name, place of study/work, contacts (telephone, e-mail) and the title of the report for inclusion in the conference programme.

It is planned to publish scientific articles based on reports heard at the sections.
