Youth online marathon «Pushkin with us. Pushkin is eternal...»
From April 29 to June 6, 2021, the Institute of Russian Language of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin holds an online youth marathon «Pushkin is with us. Pushkin is eternal...», dedicated to International Russian Language Day.
Students of grades 5-11 of secondary schools, university and college students of the Kyrgyz Republic are invited to participate in the action.
Established in 2010 by the United Nations, Russian Language Day is celebrated annually on June 6 – the birthday of the creator of the modern Russian literary language, the founder of Russian literature, Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin.
Each of us has our own Pushkin. We get acquainted with Pushkin’s poems in early childhood and never part. Many generations have turned to the work of the great poet, and today Pushkin’s word teaches and educates, gives wise advice and inspires you to think and speak beautifully!
Pushkin's works translated into Kyrgyz entered the reading circle and became loved by the Kyrgyz people. Poet and public figure Zhoomart Bokonbaev conveyed this popular attitude towards the genius of Pushkin in the poem «Kurbum» («My friend»):

In the mountain heights of Kyrgyzstan,
By sea, by ocean,
And in the Foggy North
And in the South in hot countries –
Pushkin is his own and equal everywhere
Among different nations.
He became a real Kyrgyz
The common language is clear to us.
And his sounding comus
We are especially pleased.
Pushkin is with us. Pushkin is eternal.

On the eve of the 222nd anniversary of the birth of A.S. We invite Pushkin to jointly express our gratitude and respect to the great poet, to read his favorite lines of his immortal works.
The event involves video recordings of expressive reading of poems (fragments of poems/poems) by A.S. Pushkin, which will be posted on Facebook and Instagram accounts of the Institute of Russian Language KRSU.
Video recording requirements:
- the work must be appropriate to the theme of the promotion and the age of the participant (s);
- the performance can be individual/group (up to 5 participants);
- poems read in russian;
- the school (class)/university is represented by 1–5 video recordings made on the phone;
- the video recording must be reproducible and have good sound and image quality;
- video recording duration – no more than 3 minutes;
- at the beginning of the video recording, information about the city (village); school and class; university and faculty; last name and first name of the participant (s) (optional);
- the appearance of the readers should be neat.

We kindly ask you to send video recordings as soon as they are ready, without waiting for the end of the promotion. Video recordings that meet the requirements will be posted on Facebook and Instagram accounts of the IRYA KRSU throughout the promotion.
All participants in the online marathon are awarded commemorative electronic certificates.
