Scientific and practical conference «RELIGIOUS STUDIES IN KYRGYZSTAN: STATE, PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS»

Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies named after. Academician A.Ch. Kakeeva Faculty of Humanities Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) announces the holding scientific and practical conference «Religious studies in Kyrgyzstan: state, problems and prospects».

The purpose of the conference is discussion the current state and current problems of religious studies education in Kyrgyzstan, the main trends and prospects for its further development, as well as the place and role of religion in the context of global processes of our time.

The conference program includes work in the following areas:

• KRSU's contribution to the development of modern religious studies in Kyrgyzstan;
• Current state and current problems of religious studies education in Kyrgyzstan;
• Trends in the transformation of the sociocultural life of society: religious aspect;
• World religions in Kyrgyzstan: teaching methods and religious studies;
• Secular and religious approaches to teaching religion;
• Introduction of discipline «History of religions» in educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan: problems and prospects;
• Interreligious and intercultural dialogue in ensuring the stability and security of Kyrgyz society.

Representatives of government organizations, teachers of higher educational institutions in the humanities, graduate students, undergraduates and university students of Kyrgyzstan, representatives of public and religious organizations are invited to participate in the conference.

The conference will take place May 30, 2024 in the building of the International Faculty of KRSU at 10.00 (aud. 212).
