The fire of creation will not go out!

Every year on April 26, the entire world community celebrates International Intellectual Property Day. In 2020, events held to celebrate this date highlight the key role of innovation in ensuring a «green» future. After all, all the decisions we make today reflect our tomorrow on Earth – a home for all of us, which we must protect.

Scientific and innovation activities (SIN) are the most important component of the training of highly qualified specialists, are aimed at improving and developing the educational and scientific fields and serve as one of the key indicators for assessing the activities of a university.

Since the creation of KRSU, the university management has highly valued the role of intellectual property in building human resources for the new innovative future that university graduates will build.

To register rights to potentially protective results of innovation activity (RID) and their protection in the structure of the Department of Innovation in Education and Science (DIA), the Intellectual Property Department of the KRSU (IPO) has been created and is successfully functioning.

Every year, the OIC compares the performance indicators of the inventive activity of leading universities and scientific organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic, which makes it possible to build their rating by the number of patents received by year. It is gratifying that KRSU has consistently occupied a leading position from 1995 to 2019. All this is thanks to the creative activity of the teaching staff and university staff. In addition to great success in the creation of intellectual property (IP) objects, which are awarded the highest awards in the field of IP – Diplomas and Gold Medals of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) –, our inventors attract undergraduate and graduate students to the NID, who enthusiastically take part in it as co-authors, and then themselves become creators of developments. This ensures the necessary continuity of knowledge and experience for the younger generation.

For his contribution to the development of intellectual property of the Kyrgyz Republic, KRSU was awarded a 1st degree Diploma and a statuette «Intellectual Property».

Certificates of honor and monetary reward for active participation in the Research Institute of KRSU are awarded annually to our inventors – teachers and staff, students and graduate students.
