The acceptance of works for the Competition of Young International Populists of the CIS named after A.A. is open. Gromyko 2024

The organizers of the competition are the Association of Foreign Policy Research named after A.A. Gromyko, MGIMO Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus and Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS.

Students and graduates of higher education institutions, graduate students, scientists, teachers, journalists, analysts, business specialists, representatives of public organizations, diplomats from CIS member states no older than 40 years can take part in the competition.

Closing date for applications — 13 May 2024, 11:59 pm.

Participation in the competition is possible in the following categories:

• Main nomination — scientific articles by graduate students, scientists, teachers, analysts and diplomats under 40 years of age as of August 1, 2024.

• Debut nomination — scientific articles of students and graduates of higher education institutions no older than 30 years old as of August 1, 2024.

• Nomination «Essay Competition» — journalistic essays by students and graduates of higher education institutions under 30 years of age as of August 1, 2024.

The jury also has the right to establish additional special nominations.

Original unpublished scientific articles and analytical notes written independently by one or more authors (no more than 30 thousand characters) and devoted to the study of the following topics are accepted for participation in the competition:

• prospects for integration projects in the post-Soviet space: Union State of Belarus and Russia, EAEU, CIS, CSTO;

• contours of the new world order: challenges and opportunities for Russia and the CIS countries;

• scientific diplomacy as a resource for the formation of Greater Eurasia;

• «total sanctions war»: legal status, consequences and methods of counteraction;

• the role and place of Central Asia and Transcaucasia in Eurasian integration;

• conflict threats and tools for strengthening security in Eurasia;

• diplomatic legacy of A.A. Gromyko;

• The Great Patriotic War and the Second World War: the problem of preserving historical memory and the fight against falsification of history;

• the role of the UN, its past and future in the system of international relations.

Prizes:

• Articles by the winners of the competition in the main category will be published in leading scientific journals (including those included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission).

• The works of all competition finalists will be published in a scientific collection of articles.

• At least 50 finalists will receive a grant to participate in the Finalists Forum in Moscow in July 2024 to present their work, participate in unique master classes and a rich cultural program.

• The winners in the main category will receive valuable prizes – laptop, tablet or smartphone. In the debut category – smart watch, fitness bracelet or external hard drive. There are also prizes in special categories by decision of the jury.

Based on the results of the debate, during which the defense of works at the Forum of Finalists of the competition will take place, the Jury can provide the winners with the following:

• Grant for a research project, publication of a monograph or participation in a conference in Russia.

• Grant for advanced training at leading universities in Russia, including MGIMO.

• Letter of recommendation for internship at the Eurasian Economic Commission, MGIMO.

To participate in the competition, you must submit an application through the electronic form on the official website of the competition by May 13, 2024 inclusive: konkurs-gromyko.org, containing the participant's questionnaire and the competition entry.
