Presentation of the collection «Front roads of people's deputies»
27 October 2020 at 1 pm at KRSU a presentation of a collection of documentary essays «Front Roads of People's Deputies» will take place online. Author of the book – Vice-Rector of KRSU, Candidate of Historical Sciences Leonid Sumarokov.
The book reveals an unknown page in the activities of deputies of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR of the first convocation (elected in 1938) – participation in the Great Patriotic War. It is based on a scientific study of previously unexplored archival and other materials. The collection reveals the combat path of 54 people's representatives and describes examples of their dedication and courage on the battle fronts, including during the Battle of Kursk.
In the study, the author revealed the fates of some front-line deputies who were on the lists of missing persons for many years. In particular, it was established that two members of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR died during the Battle of Kursk and were buried in the Belgorod region. That is why the presentation of the book was organized jointly with Belgorod State University. The event will be attended by Belgorod residents who assisted the author of the new book in searching for missing Kyrgyzstanis.
