The call for applications for the National Award for Future Technologies «CALL» has started

The Foundation for the Development of Scientific and Cultural Relations «CALL» is accepting applications for the National Award in the field of future technologies «CALL».

This prestigious prize is designed to recognize breakthrough ideas and inventions that are changing modern science and the daily lives of every person. The mission of the Prize «CHALLENGE» — to stimulate young people to choose a scientific career, forming a clear motivation and desire for new discoveries.

In 2024, the Award «CHALLENGE» expanded its horizons and reached the international level thanks to the introduction of a new nomination «Discovery» («Discovery»), in which scientists from any country in the world can take part.

This allows not only to draw attention to Russian science, but also to strengthen the image of Russia as an attractive place for researchers from all over the world. The award will be given in five categories for achievements made primarily (but not exclusively) over the past 10 years:

Breakthrough: for scientific research that allowed us to solve an important scientific or technological problem.

Engineering decision: for an important invention or creation of a new technology.

Perspective: for a scientific achievement that influenced the dynamics of the development of science and technology (for scientists under 35 years of age).

Scientist of the Year: for cumulative personal contributions and changing the landscape of science and technology.

Discovery: international nomination for an important discovery that influenced the development of science and technology.

The Foundation «Call» provides three methods of nomination: Self-nomination.

Nomination by any colleague who is a scientist. Nomination by any scientific organization (university, research institute, etc.).

The total bonus fund of the National Award in the field of future technologies «CALL» for 2024 is 50 million rubles, 10 million rubles in each of the five categories.

Applications will be accepted until May 20, 2024.
