On December 8, 2022, the Department of Philosophy named after. Academician A. Kakeeva organizes the annual university Olympiad in philosophy.
The purpose of the event is – to popularize philosophical knowledge, increase interest, motivation to study current philosophical problems, as well as stimulating the creative and scientific potential of students.
The Philosophy Olympiad will be attended by 1st year students from the Faculty of Humanities, Economics and the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction, as well as 2nd year students from the Faculty of Medicine, who are studying the discipline «Philosophy» in the current semester.
The Olympics will be divided into 2 stages. In the 1st round, students will go through the qualifying round at their faculties, the winners will go through to the 2nd final round. The finalist participants will have to guess philosophical crosswords and give an oral presentation on one of three pre-prepared topics. This year's jury decided on the following three topics:
- The image of the future in the ideas of modern youth
- Absurdity as a philosophical problem
- Is philosophy needed today?
Thus, based on the total number of points scored, the jury will determine the winners of the Olympiad. Certificates will be awarded for prizes Ⅰ, ⅠⅠ, ⅠⅠⅠ degrees and memorable prizes, and for the rest of the participants – certificates of participation in the Olympiad in Philosophy.
