The 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University will be celebrated in Bishkek

«Slavic is more than a university!». Under this slogan, from October 11 to 13, 2023, celebrations dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B. Yeltsin will be held in Bishkek.

The purpose of the ongoing anniversary events will be to disclose the results of the activities of the University, created by a decision of the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Russia in 1993, over the 30-year history of its existence and determine the prospects for its development. 

Representatives of government authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, heads and students of partner universities and Slavic universities, and veterans of KRSU will take part in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the university.

The ceremonial events will begin on October 11 at 12.30 from the opening of an exhibition «Slavic is more than a university» on the square in front of the main building of KRSU and the presentation of works as part of the concept design competition for the future university campus. Then there will be a premiere screening of a film about the history of KRSU named after. B. Yeltsin «30 years on the path of creation» and presentation information publication «Slavic is more than a university». On October 12, participants will gather at panel discussion «Slavic University 2050: prospects and priorities», will hold an International Scientific and Practical Conference «Russian-National Universities – Bridge for the Integration of Education and Science of the CIS Countries». On the same day, a ceremonial presentation of departmental awards from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation will take place to KRSU employees.

An important event of the anniversary events will be the holding of the Kyrgyz-Russian Student Media Forum, at which it is planned to open a regional student media center on the basis of KRSU.
