VII International School of History

From April 22 to April 26, 2024, the VII International Historical School will be held at the Faculty of History of Tver State University.

This is a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge about the history and culture of Russia, meet with famous researchers, heads of academic institutes, leading universities, major archives and museums, and receive support in implementing your own historical and educational initiatives.

The work of the school will be based on the following thematic tracks:
1. History of the Great Patriotic War
2. History of Russian art
3. History of Russian science and technology
4. History of Ancient and Medieval Rus'
5. Modernization in the history of Russia

Within each track, an intensive educational program (in Russian), round tables and discussions, as well as a competition of student projects are planned. The school's events will be useful, first of all, for students studying in social and humanitarian specialties (history, philology, cultural studies, political science and international relations).

The organizers fully cover the expenses of school participants for travel, accommodation and meals. Applications for participation are accepted until March 14, 2024.

Foreign students studying at Russian universities (100 places)
Participants from this category must submit an application by filling out an electronic form and sending a motivation letter in Russian by email hisschool_2024@tversu.ru. The motivation letter is written in free form. It should contain brief information about the school participant, information about his educational and career plans. You must also indicate your preferred theme track (listed above) there. The volume of a motivation letter is no more than 2 thousand characters.

Russian students (50 places)
Participants in this category must apply by filling out an electronic form and sending an English motivation letter by email hisschool_2024@tversu.ru. The motivation letter is written in free form. It should contain brief information about the school participant, information about his educational and career plans. You must also indicate your preferred theme track (listed above) there. The volume of a motivation letter is no more than 2 thousand characters.
