The Russian Language Institute of KRSU invites you to participate in a round table dedicated to the anniversary Institute of Russian Language KRSU and an information and analytical journal «Russian word in Kyrgyzstan». The event will take place 21 October 2021. Its purpose will be to discuss the results of the active activities of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University in the field of promoting the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan and consolidating the efforts of specialists on current problems of its functioning in the Central Asian region.

 

During the event, participants – scientists, politicians and public figures – will learn from video presentations about the work of the Institute of Russian Language of KRSU and the activities of the magazine «Russian Word in Kyrgyzstan», discuss the prospects for preserving the Russian-speaking space in Kyrgyzstan, outline further steps to strengthen the position of the Russian language and prospects development of the magazine.  

 

The information and analytical journal «Russian Word in Kyrgyzstan» was founded in 2011 by an outstanding literary scholar, poet, translator, teacher and public figure Mikhail Alexandrovich Rudov. Its release became a significant event not only for workers in education, science, and culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, but also for all those who value the Russian language as a reliable means of interethnic communication.

 

Since 2020, the journal has been published by the Institute of Russian Language of the KRSU, created by the decision of the Academic Council of the KRSU dated February 25, 2020 with the aim of promoting the idea of preserving the Russian language as an enduring value, developing bilingualism, as well as educational and methodological support for Russian-language education in the Kyrgyz Republic. Over 10 years, 37 issues of the magazine «Russian Word in Kyrgyzstan» were published.

 

The round table will take place 21 October 2021 at 1 pm (Bishkek time) at the address: Bishkek, st. Kyiv, 44, room. 212, as well as in remote format on the ZOOM platform (Conference ID: 830 9895 4996. Access code: 342623).
