Presentation of the Nexus Game at a meeting of participants of the network of academic communities on water resources (November 24, 2023, Almaty, Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi KNU). The kit was presented to Markhabo Yodalieva– Water Programme Coordinator, Kazakh-German University (DKU), Head of Education Capacity Development, USAID Regional Water and Environment Project (USAID WAVE) and Ludmila Kiktenko – Programme Manager, Environmental Management, CAREC.
The history of the game's introduction in the Central Asian region began in 2018 as part of the European Union (EU) «Nexus Dialogue in Central Asia» project implemented by the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia (CAREC). The game is a facilitated process of playing out 5 different development scenarios for countries located in the upper and lower reaches of rivers, while simultaneously meeting the water needs of the population, industry and agriculture of these countries and taking into account the problems of climate change.
