Research activities

The faculty currently has prolific academic schools as follows:

1. School of Physiology (03.00.13), headed by Professor A.G. Zarifyan, develops fundamental problems of adaptation and compensation of impaired functions in high altitude conditions, issues of human and animal life in mountain habitats, actively implements research results into the educational process, scientific research practice and clinic.
2. School named after Academician M.M. Mirrakhimova (14.00.05), led by Professor I.S. Sabirov, studies the problem «The course of internal diseases and morbidity of the cardiovascular system in high altitude conditions». 
3. Surgical scientific school (14.00.27) headed by Professor H.S. Bebezov, optimizing techniques for complex surgical interventions.
4. School of Professor G.U. Asymbekova develops the problem «Reproductive health. Perinatal audit».
5. Pediatric Scientific School (14/00/09), directed by Professor S.J. Bokonbaeva, is working on the problem «Studying the influence of a complex of environmental and genetic factors on the physical development and health of children in the Kyrgyz Republic».

By the decision of the Scientific and Technical Council dated March 19, 2014 (minutes №7), research activities at the faculty are carried out within the framework of a single faculty-wide program «Problems and challenges of fundamental clinical medicine in the 21st century» in 5 priority areas:

1. Mountains and activities.
2. Protection of the gene pool, reproduction and health of the people of Kyrgyzstan.
3. Preventive strategies for chronic and socially dangerous diseases in Kyrgyzstan.
4. Scientific foundations for optimizing surgery in Kyrgyzstan.
5. Innovative technologies in dentistry.

Faculty scientists actively participate in scientific and practical events of various significance. Their reports were heard in Russia, the USA, Great Britain, France, Spain, Turkey, Poland, China, Japan, Thailand and other foreign countries.

For the 2016-2020 academic years. Years, 21 monographs, 13 textbooks, 6 courses of lectures, 98 educational and teaching aids, 5 development methods, 5 clinical manuals, 3 collections of tests, an atlas, etc. Several collections of scientific works, more than 400 scientific articles in various peer-reviewed publications were published.

20 patents, 10 copyright certificates, 3 certificates for innovation proposals were received. 155 acts of implementation were drawn up, of which 140 – were issued in the educational process, 9 – in medical work.

During the same period, our employees took part in dozens of symposiums, congresses, forums, conferences, round tables, exhibitions and other events held both in the Kyrgyz Republic and abroad.

A new point was the holding of Internet conferences. Thus, on May 5, 2020, an International Scientific and Practical Conference was held dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Tashkent Medical Academy with the participation of employees of the Faculty of Medicine of the KRSU.

In February 2020 and September 15, the 1st and 2nd international schools-conferences on immunology were held, initiated by the Department of Epidemiology and Immunology, headed by Professor B.T. Orozbekova. In August 2020, an online conference was held with Russian colleagues in forensic medicine. And on February 11-12, 2021 - International Internet Symposium "Immunology-2021" with the participation of colleagues from Russia, Hungary, Belarus, the USA, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
