Students and alumni

The annual competition ranges from 10 (pediatrics) to 55 (dentistry) people per place. This is facilitated not only by the popularity of the medical profession, but also by the active implementation of career guidance work. More than 2,000 students are currently enrolled, 73.7% of them on a contract basis.

The student body is multi-national. In addition to Kyrgyzstanis, among the students are citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. 

In addition, representatives of non-CIS countries are trained - Iraq, Pakistan, South Korea, Israel, Turkey, Jordan, Syria, India. Most foreigners first undergo one-year preparatory courses, where students study the basics of the Russian language, as well as some upcoming first-year academic disciplines. Indian students began studying in English in 2015.

The governing body of the student life of the faculty is the Youth Parliament, which is formed electively. Together with the dean’s office, this student co-management body organizes the faculty’s birthdays, holidays ("Profession is life!", "New Year", "Nooruz"), competitions and olympiads, festivals, sports competitions, charitable and professional events.

In the 2019-2020 academic year, research work at the Faculty of Medicine was carried out in 36 departments out of 37. There were 48 student research circles.

In these circles, 544 people regularly engage in scientific research, while the total number of students who participated in various events organized and conducted by the departments of the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU (Olympiads, conferences, quizzes and seminars) was about 1000 people.

Despite all the difficulties of the last academic year, the faculty's research work did not die out. Departmental scientific circles continued to operate and scientific events were held. The largest of them were:

• held in November 2019 with the support of the Center for Russian Science and Culture in Bishkek, the Decade of Physiology, dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of I.M. Sechenov and the 170th anniversary of the birth of I.P. Pavlova;
• III Student Intercollegiate Olympiad in Morphology, Clinical Anatomy and Surgical Skills (7 December 2019);
• Olympiad in pediatric dentistry dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the faculty, competition in histology, Olympiad in chemistry;
• Promotion «Our Heart Health Course 2020», carried out in the shopping center «Dordoi Plaza» on December 26, 2019.

There were also successful performances abroad. Thus, on December 12, 2019, the IV International Morphological Competition-Conference of Students and Young Scientists was held at Novosibirsk State Medical University. Our students' reports took 1st and 3rd places in the section «Pathanatomy and Forensic Medicine», III place in the section «Human Anatomy, Topanatomy». On December 13, our team took third place for competitions and the Best Business Card.

At the IV Zverev Readings (school of future pediatric surgeons) in Yekaterinburg (January 31 – February 2, 2020), the KRSU team won 24 diplomas in various categories, incl. 1st degree – 6, 2nd – 11, 3rd – 7.

At a scientific and practical conference at the Kazakh National Medical University named after. S.D. Asfendiyarov (IV Medical Global Forum), where 15 of our scientific works were presented, won 3 first places.

The report of sixth-year student Islombek Abdurakhmanov at the XXI International Congress «Health and Education in the XXI Century» (Moscow) entered the category of the best, earning a Diploma, a medal and a cup.

As the pandemic began, online scientific events began to gain more and more weight. Thus, on May 4-18, 2020, at the Olympics, organized by the Department of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy of Andijan State Medical University, 70 students from different medical universities participated in 4 competitions. Our sophomores (ruk. Beisembayev A.A.) took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

At the 81st scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Kuban State Medical University (May 12-18, 2020), the report of 3 of our authors-members of the NSO Department of Anatomy and OKhTA earned a Certificate of Honor.

On June 30, 2020, at the general online Olympiad, a competition-conference was held «New Reality – we can!», in which students of KRSU, KSMA, MVShM MUK, Rostov, Samara, Tver, Novosibirsk State Medical University, Ural Agrarian University, Medical University Astana (g. Nur-Sultan) and Andijan State Medical University. 21 reports were heard on current medical issues. Our guys took prizes in 3 out of five sections.

On September 18th, 2020, four of our young speakers (Ruk. Beisembayev A.A. () successfully performed at the scientific and practical conference of the Rostov State Medical University.

In addition, in December last year it was possible to hold the final student scientific conference, the competition "Histology Experts", postponed from spring, and on February 9 of this year, on World Dentist Day, a round table-competition of three teams of the 1st year of the specialty "dentistry".
