Faculty structure

In 1994, the faculty had only one department of medical-biological and medical-psychological disciplines. The faculty currently consists of

Material base of the faculty

The departments of theoretical profile (anatomy and topographic anatomy; histology, cytology and embryology; physics, medical informatics and biology; microbiology and virology; disaster medicine; basic and clinical pharmacology; epidemiology and immunology; normal physiology; pathological physiology; chemistry and biochemistry; educational practice and fundamentals of research) are located mainly in building № 9 on Ave. Chingiz Aitmatov, as well as in university buildings №№ 12 and 13, located in the Alamedin-1 microdistrict, using 4 lecture halls, a library hall, 5 computer classes, 107 educational and 5 laboratory premises, 1 vivarium, 14 administrative offices, an anatomy museum equipped with hardware and software complex «Pirogov Interactive Anatomical Table». The Department of Public Health and Healthcare is located on the basis of the National Oncology Center on the street. Akhunbaeva, 92a. The Department of Hygiene is located in building № 12 KRSU in the Alemedin-1 microdistrict. The Department of Pathological Anatomy is located on the territory of the Republican Center for Mental Health on the street. Baytika Batyr, 1.

Departments of clinical profile (therapeutic disciplines for the specialty of pediatrics and dentistry; therapeutic disciplines for the specialty of medical practice; general and faculty surgery; hospital surgery; urology; traumatology and orthopedics; medical psychology, psychiatry and psychotherapy; neurology, family medicine; forensic medicine; medical rehabilitation; medical genetics and neurosurgery; dermatovenerology and phthisiology; infectious diseases; obstetrics and gynecology; pediatrics; pediatric surgery; oncology and radiation therapy; radiation diagnostics; ophthalmology; otorhinolaryngology; (family medicine) are located at the bases of the relevant medical and preventive institutions, National Medical Centres and Research Institutes of Republic and City Subordination. The Departments of Surgical Dentistry, Therapeutic Dentistry, Orthopedic Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery are located in Building №13 (mcr. Alamedin-1).

According to the order of the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic № 680 dated September 29, 2018, the medical faculty of the KRSU is assigned to the 38th health care facility. It currently uses the following clinical sites:

The relationship between departments and medical organizations is regulated by the regulations «On the clinical department», updated on the basis of the rector’s order № 202-p of May 20, 2008, as well as the regulations «On the procedure for interaction of healthcare organizations with higher and secondary vocational educational institutions on issues of practical training of students» (order of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic № 425 of August 5, 2008) and existing bilateral agreements.
