A working meeting of the Vice-Rector for Youth and Information Policy with the curators of first-year academic groups took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The event was held with the participation of the Department of Youth Policy and Extracurricular Activities and was dedicated to summing up the results of 2025 and discussing the long-term work plan for 2026.
During the meeting, key priorities of the university's youth policy were outlined. Among them are — the realization of students’ personal potential, the development of their talents, the formation of a patriotic and socially responsible personality, as well as the training of competitive specialists in demand in the labor market.
Special attention was paid to the analysis of the results of work over the past year. Participants discussed identified deficits that require systematic study. These include — the need to unify approaches to educational activities, create and strengthen organizational structures, update the coordination system, develop clear criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of social and educational work, as well as strengthening interaction with key partners and specialized organizations that shape current trends in the field of youth policy.
During the meeting, criteria for assessing the effectiveness of activities were presented, including staffing, the level of student involvement in the youth policy ecosystem, participation in events, working with partners and developing the infrastructure of public associations. It was noted that according to the results of internal monitoring in 2025, the number of students involved in educational and youth initiatives increased by 26 percent.
The importance of psychological support for students was also emphasized. During the reporting period, the Center for Psychological Support of KRSU developed and implemented programs for individual and group work with students.
An important area of activity was educational events with the participation of representatives of government authorities, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, law enforcement agencies, law enforcement agencies and religious denominations. The meetings were devoted to the formation of a civic position, the development of universal human values, countering the ideologies of extremism, nationalism, xenophobia and other negative social phenomena. More than 1 700 students took part in such events during the year.
During the meeting, issues of scholarship provision were also discussed. It was noted that in 2025, 393 students received compensation payments for living outside the city of Bishkek. 100 students received a personalized scholarship from KRSU for achievements in educational, research, social, cultural, creative and sports activities. In addition, one university student is a recipient of a scholarship from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of 5,000 soms for a period of 12 months.
The meeting became an important platform for coordinating the work of curators of academic groups and forming a unified approach to the implementation of the youth and educational policy of the KRSU in the coming year.
