An interview dedicated to the activities of the Student Theater of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was published on Sputnik Kyrgyzstan radio. Guests of the broadcast were theater director Anna Shmyrina, as well as KRSU students Angelina Bulatova, Aruzhan Duishobaeva and Bekmyrza Maadenbekov.
In interviews they said that student theater — is not only a stage and roles, but above all a space for talking about meanings, values and personal choices. Through performances, dialogues and lively emotions, young artists raise themes of responsibility, kindness, respect and the ability to hear others.
Participants noted that such theater does not work edifyingly, but through personal experience and honest contact with the audience. It is this format that helps to form empathy, inner culture and the ability to comprehend complex life issues.
During the conversation, it was also discussed why student theater remains an important tool for the education and self-expression of youth, what topics especially concern students today and resonate with viewers, and whether art can be more effective than lectures in talking about spiritual and moral values.
The interview on Sputnik Kyrgyzstan was another opportunity to show the KRSU Student Theater as a living creative platform where young people learn not only acting skills, but also a culture of dialogue — with the audience and with themselves.
