RECYCLING IN ENERGY - AND RESOURCE-SAVING TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS

Key laboratories carrying out the project are

– Educational and scientific laboratory «Construction»

Project description:

The project aims to develop innovative building materials based on the processing of industrial waste and local mineral raw materials. The main task is to create energy-efficient technologies for the production of construction products while simultaneously solving environmental problems associated with the accumulation of industrial waste.

Ash waste from thermal power plants, waste from metallurgical production, waste from the antimony industry and local clay materials are used as a raw material base. Thanks to specially developed formulations, it is possible not only to dispose of waste, but also to obtain building materials with improved performance characteristics.

The project meets modern principles of a circular economy, within which waste from one production becomes a valuable raw material for creating new products.

The technology is of particular relevance in the context of rising costs of building materials and the need to reduce the environmental load on the environment.

Key technology solutions:

  • Recycling industrial waste;

  • Integrated activation of feed mixtures;

  • Energy efficient production of building materials;

  • Recycling technologies;

  • Manufacture of frost-resistant and high-strength bricks;

  • Reduced consumption of process fuel;

  • Expanding the raw material base of the construction industry.

Practical impact and results:

The project results in the production of competitive building materials with improved technical characteristics while reducing the cost of raw materials and energy resources. An additional effect is achieved by reducing industrial waste and increasing the environmental sustainability of the construction industry.
